“In 2009 I was involved in a traffic accident.  A car slammed into my scooter.  It smashed my foot quite badly.  I was in and out of hospital over the following months. The TAC staff were very helpful.  However, I knew that I needed proper legal representation to seek compensation for my injuries.  I had lost my job and was in a lot of pain.  I was facing an amputation.  It was clear that I had to take this seriously.

The Decision

Initially I considered one of the larger legal firms.  In the end I opted for a smaller, more “boutique” firm.  One that specialised in traffic accident law.  A firm that could give proper attention to my case, as if their business and reputation depended on it.  After a few months of research I rang Clara.  She came over to my house to meet me.  We talked about what had happened.  Clara is a very warm and genuine person.  Immediately, I knew that I was in good hands.  Her enthusiasm and knowledge of traffic accident law is impressive.  It’s obvious that she is very passionate about what she does. After I made the decision to appoint Burt & Davies I was able to relax and heal.

The Process

Clara spent the next year or so investigating.  Running around collating scans, x-rays, GP and hospital records, police, insurance and witness statements.  An impressive stack of paperwork over a foot high!  She kept me in the loop as the case progressed through the system. In the end the final compensation settlement was much more than I ever expected.  It has set me up for life!

I’m very grateful to Clara for her tireless work.  And I am so happy that I made the right decision to appoint Burt & Davies.  If you have been injured in a traffic accident I highly recommend Clara to talk about your options.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  In the end, no matter how nice the TAC staff seem, you are ultimately fighting a well-resourced insurance company.  With its own lawyers, its goal is to minimise your compensation payout.  You need a good lawyer!

Good luck and good health!”
